In 1997, president Jiang Zemin met Francis Pang , Chairman of Board of BCCSC in Canada. Canadian Prime Minister Chretien sent us congratulating letters, too. Vice-premier Li Lanqing met our school leaders in ZhongNanhai on our school's founding day. All of these show the great concerns about the education enterprise and the development of BCCSC from both Chinese and Canadian governors . Followings are some of our school's leaders, our honorable principals are Mr. Tao Xiping , (Vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of Beijing People's Congress), Senator Pierre Debane , (Senator of Canadian Senate, Vice-Chairman of the Department of Treasury of the Canadian Senate), Mr. Xu Xi'an , (Member of Beijing Municipal Government, Director of Education Committee of Beijing Municipal Government), Mr. Hon.R.J.Macintyre (Minister of N.B. Education and Labor Department). Our chief advisers are Mr. Yang Haibo , (Ex-vice Chairman of Education, Science, and Cultural Head to the National People's Congress.) and Ms. Albian Guarnieri , (M.P. of Canadian Parliament). Our advisers are Pro. Gu Minyuan , (famous educator), Mr. Tao Chunhui and Mr. Ma Shuping , (Both Vice-chairmen of Education Committee of Beijing Municipal Government), Mr. Shen Dehai , (Vice-headperson of TongZhou District) and several Presidents from famous Canadian Universities. All of these created favorable conditions for the future development of our school.
In September 1997 our school received a member of UNESCO, and our Chairman also served as Executive Director in Beijing for this organization. In 2001, Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien met our staff and students during his Team Canada visit to China. 47 teachers and students of our college were presented by Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien the Letter of Appreciation for their volunteer work. Premier of New Brunswick together Canadian senior government officials visited our college in February 2001, and gave a high praise of our recent development of our campus wide fiber optic interactive broadband width network established with Beijing Telecom.
