Meeting on Chinese-foreign Cooperative Education

¡@¡@Top officials from over 200 joint cooperative schools, colleges, and universities joined in the meeting organized by Beijing Municipal Commission of Education at Yanqing County from September 21 to 22, 2004.
¡@¡@The meeting conveyed the spirit of Chinese-foreign cooperative education Chengdu meeting held by the Education Ministry, covered the interpretation of the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Chinese-foreign Cooperative Education, and mapped out the plan for the future work.
¡@¡@All the official attendees got better understanding about the connotation of the regulation on Chinese-foreign cooperative education. They came to have clearer idea about the category and definition of Chinese-foreign cooperative education. The Municipal Commission of Education introduced some large cooperative projects and cooperative organizations to be launched later. The commission requests all the cooperative schools to improve their educational standard, to import excellent foreign education resources by every possible means, and to build up systems and programs for a sustainable development. It also asked all the schools to enhance the administration. The commission introduced that it was working for the relevant policies. Certain evaluation systems would be established to check the work of each cooperative school and further promote the quality of the cooperative education in Beijing.
¡@¡@ In the end, the meeting scheduled the check of qualification of all the cooperative educational organizations and their projects or/and programs to be taken place from September 2004 to August 2005. The qualified organization would be granted with both the Permit of Running Chinese-Foreign Cooperative Schools and the Approval of Chinese-foreign Cooperative Programs, which would be issued from the P.R.C. Ministry of Education.
¡@¡@ Mr. Meng Xuejun, BCCSC's executive principal and Mr. Jiang Tao, HR director joined the meeting. They discussed the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Chinese-foreign Cooperative Education, shared our experiences, and introduced our current development to the other attendees.
