On July 17, 2007, at the joint convocation of Shanghai Institute of Technology and ThompsonRiversUniversity held in Shanghai, Dr. Francis Pang was awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Doctor of Laws degree, honoris causa by the ThompsonRiversUniversity.  Dr. Pang was bestowed at the graduation ceremony by Dr. Mark Evered , Provost and VP of TRU.  Ms. Cyndi McLeod, Associate VP read out the citation and Dr. Pang gave his acceptance speech.  This is Dr. Pang's 2nd honorary doctorate degree in recent years for his continued contributions to global education."
