On May 16th 2008, more than 300 students from Grade 11 visited the Modern Literature Museum of Beijing. It was a sea of red all over the museum, as our students were dressed in their new BCCSC t-shirts. Our students visited the museum to have a better connection with “Chinese novel appreciation”, a deeper understanding about the development and character of modern literature, and for comprehending the works and its authors.

After the opening lecture and visiting questionnaires, the museum staff took the students on a tour of the museum and gave them explanations about each display. Afterwards, led by our Principal Xue Mei and Liu Wenlian, the students wandered on their own around the museum, appreciating the displays and taking pictures with the works of the literary masters. This activity let the students improve themselves in culture, but also inspired their literary spirits
