Chairman George first performed in Shanghai in Fall 2000 and was invited back every year since to perform at national level events across China.Chairman George is famous for his Chinese folk songs.
In summer 2004, Chairman George was at the Athens Olympics staying in the Olympic Village as a National Olympic Committee Assistant helping the Chinese team with language skills.Also, he was the Olympic Torch Relay Runner in Montreal.
Students and faculty were delighted at the wonderful concert on campus by Chairman George.Students were singing and clapping along when Chairman George sang few famous Chinese folk songs.Mr. Andy Truong and Ms. Caroline Wang, Chief Editor of Bridge Magazine hosted the concert.
Audiences loved him, disarmed and enchanted that a westerner can sing great Chinese Folk songs with such depth and emotions.Chairman George reminded our students that ˇ§students need to have more than 1 interests, students should participate and pursue music, arts or sports along with academic studyˇ¨.
