Ms. Tao Tao LIU, a BCCSC alumni with the Class of 2000 was awarded the Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the Board of Trade's Annual Outstanding Business Achievement Awards Dinner held on November 30, 2005. The awards dinner was attended by over 500 business people and government officials. Saint John Mayor Norm McFarlane was also awarded at the event for the Chair's Award for demonstrated excellence in leadership and teamwork. Mr. Andy Truong , Director of Operations was at the awards dinner in celebrating Tao Tao's achievements.
Earlier this year, Tao Tao and her associates (also BCCSC alumni Hope LIANG Rui) started the East Coast Chinese Newspaper (ECCN), the first Chinese newspaper in New Brunswick , Canada . ECCN serves the Chinese community with reports on daily and world issues, immigrants experience, government policies to aid in the integration of Chinese immigrants. ECCN also acts as a bridge to bettering communication between New Brunswick government and the Chinese community. |
