Address from Principal, BCCSC – Mr. Wang Benzhong

Respected Leaders, Honorable Guests, Students, Parents and Teachers，Good afternoon.

It is the most wonderful day today for all the graduate students of BCCSC and SCCSC gathering here to celebrate their graduation, and it is also the grand day for celebrating the tenth year anniversary for BCCSC and 5 year anniversary for SCCSC. On behalf of the authority of the two schools, I would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere congratulations to all the graduate students, and heartfelt thanks to the parents and all the staff of the schools. We warmly welcome all the distinguished quests and Government officials to present this big event.

For the past ten years, we have had 2914 graduate students out from both the schools. Over 96 percent of them are continuing their higher education in Canada and the United States. While over 70 percent of the students have obtained the scholarship. The total amount of the scholarship added up to 7 million Canadian dollars, which stands for 20 thousand Chinese Yuan for each student averagely. The achievement have been made even greater this year. Over 97 percent of our graduate students have received the

 

admission letters from the 50 universities famous for variety of study field in Canada and the States, such as TorontoUniversity and the University of Washington. Furthermore, we have 22 students got the scholarship of 10 thousand Canadian dollars each. 15 students obtained the scholarship for 20 thousand dollars each. Among them, 8 students got 30 thousand each. Our top student has been delivered the scholarship for 42 thousand and 5 hundred dollars, which equals to 300 thousand yuan.

Just at the happiest time we share the joy with all the students, we have never forgotten the official support from Education Department of New Brunswick, the State Education Department of China, the Education Ministry of the city and the district. It is just because of their support, we have set up a splendid platform and space to train our student the international talents.

At last, I would like to express all the best wishes to the graduate students, many thanks to the parents, and gratitude to the officials, and thanks to all the staff of the two schools again on behalf of the authority of the schools. I hope both of the schools will have further development in the future.
