BCCSC's Psychological Health Education

To follow the state's call to strengthen our youths' psychology education, foster their persistence and struggling spirit even under arduous conditions, and improve their social adaptability, our school, BCCSC has set up its Individual Guidance Center in November 2004. Our Student Administrative Office (SAO) also invited experts from BOSI Psychology Consultation of Beijing University to give our students a lecture on psychological health at the lecture theatre on Nov 28, 2004.

The invited lecturers are Professor Sun Yuxiao, Huang bingjie, and director of BOSI. Professor Sun, a member of China Psychology Society, is an expert in consultation of youth psychology. Huang is an excellent university student from Beijing University. Our Principal Meng and Assistant Principal Tian took part in the lecture.

After the opening speech of Assistant Principal Tian, Huang introduced her study experiences, learning methods, and her understanding about study and family. Professor Sun made an attractive report on the psychological problems that young students often meet in life and their solutions before Mr. Meng's summary.

Our students were very interested with the lecture. They brought up many questions and get satisfactory answers. They began to call the Guidance Center that afternoon to make an appointment. Some parents made phone calls to the SAO for the contact of the Guidance Center. We believe the Guidance Center will give other students practical help.
