US Bebras Computing Challenge

There are two special events in North America to promote computer science education. These are 1) Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek) and 2) Hour of Code. During CSEdWeek, students participate in a computational thinking challenge called "The Bebras Computing Challenge." Over two million students from 30 countries have participated in the Bebras Challenge over the past five years. It encourages a greater interest, or aptitude, for computational thinking. The challenge has four different quizzes aimed at different age groups with tasks showcasing the best ideas by letting students apply both logical and computational thinking. The tasks demonstrate how integrated and important these concepts are in our daily lives.

Our students did a good job in the challenge. Thirteen students received certificate of Distinction and they are in the top 25 percentile. Congratulations for achieving excellent results in the international computing competition.
