2006 New Students Military Training Closing Ceremony

Dr. Francis Pang, Chairman of BCCSC Board attended the closing ceremony with other school leaders, senior officers from the army, some parents, all our Canadian teachers, and all Grade 10 teachers.

With sturdy tune of the national anthem, the closing ceremony of the military training began. All the trainees-our new grade 10 students stood upright in their prestige under the sun. The second part of the ceremony is parade. As soon as the command given by the officer, all the students turned around sharp at the same time, and then run to the appointed place, while their catchwords of each class clearly spread in the air. Then the parade officially began. At the first rows were national flag holders and school flag holders, followed with each class. When passing the rostrum, all the students strode proudly in standard parade step, and shouted out their catchwords. The leaders on the rostrum gave them thunderous applause.

After the parade, the military officer reported to Dr. Francis saying, “Parade is finished, please inspect the troops.”Dr. Pang then inspected the student troops with Mr. Meng.

After that, the military officer announced the outstanding platoons, model military trainees, and excellent trainees.Whenever a name is announced, the student shouted out “yes!” then stepped out of rows, ran onto the rostrum. After a salute of greeting, the student got the first diploma in BCCSC.

The military training was closed, but the students declared that they would take the training as a turning point to carry on the persistence attitude and make strict commands on themselves to obey school regulations, make good use of time, and study hard.
