Grade 10 Students Visit Old Beijing's Hutongs

In Grade 10's text book of Chinese, there is a text named HuTong Culture。HuTong is a kind of typical ancient city alley in Beijing. After studying the text, BCCSC's Grade 10 students made a special visit to 11 typical Beijing's HuTongs around Houhai , Song Qingling's Former Residence, and Guo Morou's Former Residence on Nov.9 2007. During the visit, the students gathered materials about this traditional old residence in Beijing by talking with local residents in the hutongs, taking photographs, and shooting videos of the symbolic architecture. After the visit, the students made monographs, models, and albums to present the Hutong Culture in their view. This visit deeply impressed the students of the new generation with real images of old Beijing's Hutongs and enriched their life.
