SmartBoards Make New Curriculum More Efficiency and Convenience

BCCSC 5TH New Curriculum  Teaching Seminar namely SmartBoard Teaching Application Seminar held at the  Canadian Intl School of Beijing (CISB) on July 10, 2008.  The purpose of this seminar is: to learn more new teaching theory, discuss new  teaching mode, improve professional level of teachers, and take charge of  modern teaching skill to realize creative new classroom? with SmartBoard. We also invited famous  Information Technology Experts and Scholars to make comments for it.

Under lead of School Board for 11 years, we  are centered as study with high efficiency and grow up healthily, based on  students long life development. BCCSC establish theory of “Create Education New  World” and make contribution of becoming “example of Intl Education  cooperation, representative of modern education theory, and bring up cradle of internationalization,  comprehensive and creative person with ability”.

Dr. Francis Pang ( Chairman of Board)  understands Information Technology and hi-tech equipments are very important  for our school. There are over 55 SmartBoards have been installed at BCCSC  making it the 1st Sino-Canadian school to have all the Smart  classrooms.

Traditional Teaching mode has been changed  because of introducing into SmartBoard technology, create new teaching  structure, make new class form, provide modern teaching method to implement new  curriculum standard, and carry out original teaching mode as using information  Technology, it will make students use the time in classroom with maximum, from “infusing”  change into “dialogue” and “exchange ideas” to make students and teachers  become a study community with dynamic and vivid, creative course.

Teaching practice of SmartBoard is not only  improve achievement of students, but also improve modern teaching skill of  teachers. 3 teachers of BCCSC awarded 1st place four prizes, 2nd  place 1 prize in “1st Elementary and Middle School New Media New  Technology Teaching Application Seminar” activities, Geography teacher - Jiang  tianrong awarded 1st place in video class and 1st place  in Lecture, Chinese teacher - Ai Lina awarded 1st place in video  class and 1st place in Lecture, Math teacher – Yi Xiazai awarded 2nd  place in video class.

BCCSC & CISB held  SmartBoard lecture many times, organize training for over 1000 principals of  elementary schools and middle schools, actively extend and spread concerned knowledge  and skills, we have got not only praise from experts but also good social  benefits.
