BCCSC is developing and expanding its programs in Psychology

The members of the Personal Development Department held two wonderful activities on psychology with the students from the Psychology Department.

We invited Wang Pengchao who is experienced in this area, to preside over it. Many people took part in this activity. In attendance were Ma Ziyin, Zhang Xin, Leng Jiangyuan, Zhong Zhaofang, Zhang Dianxin, the leader of this Association and more than twenty students. The themes of this activity were “Team Building,” “Cooperation” and “Critical Thinking”

The first day of activity was about how to survive on a deserted island. the students were divided into three groups, They were, “Normal Man”, “Deaf Man” and “Blind Man”. Each group had their own role and had to finish within a certain time. The purpose of this activity was to foster the ability of cooperation with their partners and to develop the capability of overall planning and critical thinking. All the students expressed their interest in this meaningful and fun-filled activity. The second activity was a game called, “Turn the leaves.” The students stand on “poisonous” leaves and have to turn them within a certain amount of time.

In order to make it harder to finish, one person acts as though they are deaf and one person acts as though they are blind. This activity helps all students to understand how important cooperation and team work are.

The students and teachers gathered together after wards and discussed what they had gained from their time together. The teachers also asked the students to write a reflection on these activities for homework.
