The 2009 Winter Camp of CCSC

On Jan 20th, 2009 75 students along with 9 teachers from both BCCSC and SCCSC departed Beijing as part of the 12th Anniversary Winter Camp.

The Winter Camp includes travel across Canada with stops in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Vancouver, Edmonton and New Brunswick.  The 18 days travel was enjoyed greatly by students and teachers. Activities include visiting famous universities, CN Tower, Niagara Falls, Parliament Hill and Whistler to name a few.  This year camp was lead by Dr. Francis Pang, chairman of the board and Mr. Andy Truong and Mr. Charles Pang, both executive directors of the school.

As part of the camp, students stayed with Canadian home stay families for 1 week to further language and cultural understanding.  Students enjoy their experience very much and built long lasting friendships with their Canadian counterparts.

This winter camp was very successful and students gained a life long experience. Through this winter camp, students get to know more about history of Canada and its cultures. This will give them more confidence in studying abroad when they graduate.
