BCCSC and RRU entered into a formal partnership
On May 18, 2010, the Royal Roads University in Victoria, Canada and BCCSC entered into a formal partnership to establish and delivery of the new 2+4 Direct Entry Program in Beijing. At the signing ceremony witnessed by the Premier of British Columbia, the Honourable Gordon Campbell; Dr. Allan Cahoon, president of Royal Roads University and Dr. Francis Pang, chairman of BCCSC signed the Memorandum of Understanding.
Also joining the signing ceremony are Mr. WANG Benzhong, principal; Mr.Andy Truong, executive director and Mr. Charles Pang, board director from BCCSC along with Ms. Connie Chan, Asia Director of RRU.
This 2+4 Direct Entry Program is the 1st of its kind in China offering a continuous 6 years of education with first 2 years in China completing the secondary education then transferring to RRU for the university foundation and academic studies. Graduates will receive a bachelor degree after successful completion of the graduation requirements. This program is opened to advanced students starting this September at the BCCSC campus. BCCSC will recruit 35 students for this inaugural class.
After the signing, RRU hosted a dinner to celebrate the partnership.
