BCCSC students got good mark in Canadian Euclid Math Competition

Canada Euclid Math  Competition is a national level Math Competition which is named after a famous mathematician.  This competition is held by the Centre for Education in Mathematics  and Computing for Gr.11 students. The full mark is 100 points, and has 10 sections.  The purpose of this competition is to cultivate students’ interests in math,  and to help to choose the students who are qualified to write the Olympic Math  Competition. It is significant for students who are going to go abroad to  study. It will help them to apply for a famous Canadian university.

                   59 students from BCCSC wrote this math competition  on May 7th, 2010. The minimum score needed to receive an award is  60. There are 41 students receive an award, and the school’s award rate is 70%.

16 Gr10 students attended this competition, 10 got awards,  and award rate is 62.5%
