Students and teachers from BCCSC attended HMUN CHINA 2010 of Model United Nations
About 25 teachers and students from BCCSC attended the 2010 HUMAN CHINA event which was hosted by the Harvard Model United Nations and co-hosted by WEMUNC. There were more than 900 middle school students who, on behalf of 190 member nations of United Nations gathered together to discuss several popular current events.
We finished this meeting successfully because of the effort that was made by our students and teachers. Every student attended the discussion actively and gained new friends at the meeting. They expressed that they really improved their ability and skill. Xu Zepeng from Gr.11-AP of BCCSC got Honorable Mention which was awarded by General Assembly--Economic and Financial Committee。
The reason why we can finish this activity successfully is that we got the support from the leaders of our school especially Mr. Andy Truong. All the departments from BCCSC tried their best to help and maintain order; for instance, SAO, TAO, the English Department and so on. In view of the development of our students’ ability and skill, the Youth League of BCCSC decided to set up our own Model United Nations in order to improve our students’ ability to communicate and express themselves, The Youth Leagues Model UN also can attract more students to come to BCCSC to study.
