Agreement with UCC

On January 28th, 2003 BCCSC and University College of the Cariboo signed a contract, which allows graduates of the BCCSC's two-year International Hospitality Management (IHM) to enter the third year of UCC's bachelor of tourism management.

Attending and speaking the signing ceremony were Mr. Lan Renmin, BCCSC's executive director; Mr. Andy Truong, BCCSC's director of Advanced Education; Dr. Neil Russell, Vice-president of academics at UCC; Dr. David Twyna, dean of the school of tourism at UCC; and Cindy McLeod, executive director of UCC International. The signing of the agreement provides another choice for BCCSC students. At present, BCCSC's IHM program graduates can apply to continue bachelor programs in six universities in Canada, America and Switzerland.
