Celebrating BCCSC Grade 12 Students entry into Adulthood

The celebration of the BCCSC Grade 12 Students Entry into Adulthood was held from 9:00 to 10:30 in the domed theater on the morning of May 11 th , 2005. The celebration began with the students' singing of the Chinese National Anthem. Dr. Francis Pang delivered the opening speech. After the speeches of the parents' representative and the students' representative, all the grade 12 students in their blue school uniform took an oath under the Nation Flag, with a copy of the Constitution in the left hand, and a raised fist right hand. The Leaders of our college issued each student a card and pin as a remembrance of the occasion. Following this, the MC delivered the letter of expectation from the parents and some experts. Teacher delegates and Judge Irwin Lampert from Canada also congratulated the students. Mr. Meng delivered the closing speech. The ceremony serves to develop in students' sense of social responsibility, idealism, legal responsibility and morality, as well as their sense of adulthood citizenship. It will play a positive role in their future studies, careers and ultimately their whole life.
