2011 BCCSC New Students Summer Camp
Sixty-four junior high school graduate students gathered at BCCSC Lecture Theatre at 7:00pm on July 16th, 2011. Jiang Tao, the vice principal of BCCSC, delivered a humorous speech, which gave the students a lot of encouragement and made them feel more confident in studying English. The welcome ceremony ends while the students’ experience just begins.
During the week, campers have a lot of Canadian English lessons which offer them a good chance to communicate with the native speakers. Of course, some activities help the campers broaden their eyes in studying English. Study can be much funnier because listening to English songs, watching English movies and learning actors’ lines can also help them to speak English well. Because of Ceramic Sculpture, funny games and other activities make life on campus more colorful. Outbound training enhances the campers’ teamwork spirit, one of the most important 21st century skills. Visiting some famous places of interesting, such as Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and The Temple of Heaven helps the students feel more proud of themselves and their country.
The closing ceremony on July 22nd indicates the end of the camp and the campers’ fabulous performance wins the applause from the Canadian teachers, working staff as well as their parents.
2011 BCCSC New Students Summer Camp ends successfully.
