BCCSC Love and Care Foundation

The establishment ceremony of BCCSC Sun Foundation was held at the comprehensive   building on March 3rd, 2011. Dr. Pang, and Mr. Andy Truong, Madam Xue Mei, Miss.   Jing Zhi, Mr. Tian Zhenzhou, Dr. Eddy Campbell, the principal of UNB attended.   These 6 experts and all members of this foundation attended this ceremony. Dr.   Pang and Dr. Eddy Campbell awarded a plaque to this foundation.                                  

The establishment of The Sun Foundation received great support from Dr. Pang   and Mr. Andy Truong. On behalf of the BCCSC board of education and Beijing   Kangqiao Langli International Education Culture Exchange Centre separately, Dr.   Pang and Mr. Andy Truong donated 100000 RMB to the foundation, this also can be   regarded as the first donation.

BCCSC Students and teachers organized and attended various social charity   activities every year for helping poor people, people with disabilities and many   other people who need help after the establishment of BCCSC on March 1997. We   attended several charity activities; such as, “protecting rives” public   donations, ‘hope project 1+1”, donating to the Wenchuan and Yushu earthquake,   and so on. We started to cooperate with the China Cancer Foundation in 1997 and   attended the charity activity which was named as Terry Fox Run and held in   Beijing every year. We also organized a Marathon for encouraging more and more   people to join us. BCCSC Student Union organized students to attend the Tongzhou   District Mentally Retarded School volunteer service activity. We organized BCCSC   students and teachers to participate the activity that named as ‘pay attention   to the AIDS orphans” on December, 2008. We developed the activity of students’   volunteer service item under the support of Beijing Tongzhou District Caring   Centre in 2009 and also organized the Summer Camp in2010. In the process of   attending these several charity activities, we can not only help the people who   are in trouble, but also can let our students feel the happiness in the process   of helping others. This really means a lot to our students.

The establishment of the BCCSC Sun Foundation can be considered as a   milestone. It will better help us to care for society and other people and to   know the meaning of contribution. The members of Sun Foundation hope to get   supports from students, teachers and the whole society and become more and more   perfect.
