ROGER LORD, the Canadian famous pianist came to BCCSC for bringing us a wonderful performance

We were honorably invited Dr.ROGER LORD, the famous pianist of Canada to bring a wonderful performance for grade 10 students and teachers. This performance was held by SAO and undertook by Student Union and Associations.  There were several leaders attended the concert, they are, Mr. Andy Truong, Mr. Tian Zhenzhou, Miss Ma Xiaokui and Mr. Cao Xiaopeng.  

Canadian pianist ROGER LORD from Moncton, New Brunswick won First Prizes in the Canadian Music Competition as well as in the Canadian National Festival of Music. He has ever held more than 120 concerts in Canada and Europe. His various engagements have since taken him to some of the world's great cities: Paris, Oslo, Vienna, Parma, Montreal, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Quito, Cairo, Tunis, Kuala Lumpur, Hanoi, Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, etc. Hailed as "The Piano Prince of Canada" by the China Daily, some of his performances took place in world renowned venues such as the Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing, the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, the Niccolo Paganini Auditorium in Parma, the Cairo Opera House, the Carthage Acropolium in Tunis, the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul. He holds a Doctorate in Music and is now a Professor of piano at the Université de Moncton.

A  made the concert starts. Dr.ROGER LORD also played the famous music from Chopin, Beethoven and Schubert for everybody there. His professional and wonderful playing skills created a beautiful musical atmosphere for audients. Every teacher and students were touched by his play and were intoxicated in music.

Under the invitation, Zhao Junmeng from 10-4 played the most famous music of Schubert with Dr.ROGER LORD. Liu jiawei, Zhuang Chenxi and Wang Jiaying played Chinese zither in the concert. Their perfect performance got the approval from Dr.ROGER LORD, which made the concert more colorful.

The concert was finished in the applauses, but most of students didn't want to leave. They took pictures with Dr.ROGER LORD and asked for advices. Dr.ROGER LORD put forward his advices and suggestions to our Piano Association and showed them the playing skills by himself. Everyone learned a lot from this concert. Now, they have a good knowledge of Chinese traditional musical culture and world musical culture.
