The 8th BCCSC Student Representatives Meeting and Student Council Election of Round Square Committee were held successfully

The first, second and third meeting of the 8th Student Representatives Meeting was held at the Lecture Theatre separately on October 10th, 16th, and 17th, 2013. The main task of this meeting is to elect a new round of 6 chairmen of the Round Square Committee according to the constitutions of the BCCSC Students Round Square Committee. The 6 committees are Internationalism, Democracy, Environment, Adventure, Leadership and Service. There were 31 Student Representatives and 12 candidates attending the meeting.
   This election also brought the new president, vice-president, and secretary-genera. Mr. Tian Zhenzhou, Miss Ma Xiaokui, the faculty teachers of Round Square Committee and many other leaders attended this election. This election was held under the supervision of Miss Li He, the teacher from Student Union, and the Discipline Inspection Department of Student Union. All the students representatives voted.
   First, the 12 candidates delivered their speeches. Each of them has 5 minutes to state their self introduction, including the position they are competing for, personal advantages, working skills and abilities. All the students representatives started to vote following the principles of openness, justice, and equality.  
   The President election came firstly. There were two candidates from 12-7 and 12-AP1; they are Li Haoyang and Pan Yijia. They looked confident and calm when they walked on the stage. They introduced themselves, presented their views about responsibility, and also put forward the constructive ways of building and developing BCCSC. The next part after this the election of Vice-President. As the candidate, Zhang Huijuan from 12-AP1 gave us a humorous speech. The last is the election of secretary- general. As the candidate, Yang Ziqiao from 12-AP2 and Ma Tiantian from 12-4 delivered their speeches.    
   The meeting lasted for about one hour. This is not only a election, but also a stage for students to show themselves. The meeting was held successfully with applause.
