The Round Square Committee of BCCSC went to Australia for attending the Round Square regional meeting

As a world school union, Round Square promotes students’ academic achievement, personal development. As the first member of the Round Square organization in China, BCCSC was invited to attend the 5 day Round Square Regional Meeting in Australia on June 24th, 2013. Under the leadership of Miss Meng Jun, the faculty advisor of BCCSC’s Adventure Committee, 4 of our students attended the meeting, the theme of this meeting was Hand in Hand as One. There were 89 representatives from 15 High Schools and 7 different Asian and Australian Countries. Mr. Clint Miller made an important speech on Internationalism, one of six theories of Round Square. As an experienced educator, Mr. Clint Miller believes in the importance of helping kids to live in a multi-culture world. He created a non-profit educational institution, which encourages students to go after their dreams, learns different cultures and be justicial. This institution works in communities across Asia and the Pacific. This meeting was developed successfully, which involved speech, discussion, tree-planting, and sea turtle protecting.
    This meeting moved our kids off campus, and China, this journey helped cultivate their international views and also improved their development in academic study, physical capability, cultural awareness and school spirit.
