The Successful Completion of BCCSC Dormitory Area Emergency Evacuation Drill in 2014

In order to enhance the safety awareness of teachers and students in our school, and further implement the fire control policy "prevention first, extinguish combined with prevention". On September 25th, 2014 6:40, emergency evacuation drill for the dorm activities in our school was held. All the teachers and students evacuated from the dormitory building to the playground in just 3 minutes and 22 seconds. The whole drill was quick and orderly and there was no security problem, which achieved the desired purpose and was a complete success.

In order to do a good job in the exercise, our school held a meeting to research many times and set up headquarters. Executive director Andy Truong and principal Xue Mei as command , secretary Jingzhi and vice principal Tian Zhenzhou as deputy commander, studied and modified the drill plan many times and carried on the mobilization and learning  to all the teachers and students on the evening of 24th. The whole drill set up evacuation guide groups, medical and rescue, fire disaster relief group and the communication groups. The whole drill was meticulous and strict. In order to achieve real and practical effect in the drill, the fire fighting group used the fire hose and fire extinguisher, while medical aid group used rescue equipment such as stretchers and wheelchairs. Student affairs office director Ma held students meeting on 24th evening and guided the drill line, requirements and significance. All the students actively participated and earnestly study the evacuation route and evacuation requirements documents led by the teacher, which ensured the smooth development of this activity.

Through the fire emergency evacuation drills, the teachers and students have a more comprehensive understanding for fire control knowledge and practiced escaping skills. The exercises strengthened the safety consciousness of all the faculty and students and improved their emergency evacuation ability. It also maintains good order of teaching, work and life in emergency and promotes the construction of a harmonious and safe campus.
