Congratulation to the successful internship program between BCCSC and ICL

From July 19 to August 24, 2014, two students Alan ZHANG and Clarissa ZHOU from BCCSC and two students Arthur LIN and Janice GONG from SCCSC took part in the five-week exchanging programme in Imperial College of London chaperoned by the teacher Kendra ZHONG from BCCSC. During the five weeks, the students had morning training sessions on Monday mornings, where they improved the skills how to introduce themselves properly and did some career research to foresee their life in the near 3 years, 5 years and ten years. They also experienced the real lab life, where they were given different research projects by their supervisors and did experiments with the help of the supervisors and interns. Some students made a lot of analysis of data worked out different graphs according to the data they had to see the differences among them. On the last day, each of them did a PPT presentation report about their research and experience in the lab. About the extracurriculum activities, they experienced the local life and tried to learn more about the British culture, visited a lot of the places of interest. All the supervisors and interns, the programme in-charge leaders were strongly impressed by our students' performance in ICL. They all thought the four students were active in taking part in all the activities, not only the lab life, but also the extracurriculum activities. They were trying their best to work on the projects assigned and solve the problems occurring in the process. They were all very proud of our students after hearing their report, saying our kids had done a fantastic job in such a short period of time. Our kids also improved their life survival skills a lot.
