2014 BCCSC International Education Summer Camp was held successfully

The opening ceremony of BCCSC International Education Summer Camp was held successfully at the Lecture Theatre on July 4th, 2014. There were several leaders who attended this ceremony, they were, Mr. John McLaughlin, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education of New Brunswick, Canada, Mr. Terry Curry, the person in charge of AEI International Education Department, Mr. Andy Truong, the Executive Director of the Board, Mr. Tian Zhenzhou, the vice-principal, and Chinese and Canadian teachers’ representatives. Miss Zhang Shuang presided over the ceremony.

The opening ceremony started officially with Chinese and Canadian National Anthems. Mr. Andy Truong delivered his speech first. He stressed the point and target of attending this summer camp. He wished students a happy summer, and hoped students could have more communication and gains. Mr. John McLaughlin also brought words to give us a high affirmation, to encourage Canadian kids to appreciate Chinese cultures, and to cherish the opportunity. The students and teachers’ representatives from China and Canada delivered the speeches separately. Everybody expected a lot from this summer camp. The leaders and members’ representative had the Camp Flag Handover Ceremony. Leaders from China and Canada sent gifts to each other. The opening ceremony was finished successfully.

The teachers and students who attended this Summer Camp were from Canada. The students of BCCSC were in charge of taking care of their trip here. To give them a platform for knowing Chinese culture, school arranged lots of outings and courses for bringing them more chances to know China. We wish a great success to this Summer Camp.
