Canadian Law Lecture Was Completed Successfully in BCCSC

On May 14-16, 2014, under invitation by Dr. Francis Pang, Chairman and Mr. Andy Truong, Executive Director of BCCSC, The Honourable Irwin Lampert, a Provincial Judge from New Brunswick of Canada arrived at BCCSC, and conducted Lectures respectively with G10, G11 & G12 students about Canadian Law. Judge Lampert is chairman of the Canadian Judge Federation with rich experiences and practices of Canadian legal system. Through his Mock cases, and combining problems encountered in students’ daily life, he had detailed explanation of relevant Canadian law and shared his feedback. It made students thought-provoking and beneficial, his lecture covered the youth to safeguard their own rights and interests, be a global citizen knowing and abiding by the law. His professional andinterpretation left a deep impression with our teachers and students. The Canadian law lectures and G12 Mock Trial activities was completed successfully. After the lecture, many students talked with Judge Lampert personally about their individual questions.

According to the requirement of the school education goal, students need to know Canadian law before going abroad, BCCSC has invited Judge Lampert for law lectures since 2002. Each time, it was warmly welcomed by our students, teachers and parents.
