BCCSC successfully held the Open Day activity, which is the part of the 3rd Educational Teaching Seminar at the Lecture Theatre on April 26th, 2014. There were several leaders who attended this activity, they were, Dr. Francis Pang, The Chairman of the Board, Mr. Wang Benzhong, The Legal Representative of BCCSC, Mr. Andy Truong, the Executive Director of The Board, Madam Xue Mei, the Executive Principal, and 11 Leaders from CCSC, students, and parents.
The topic of this seminar is exploring teaching standards at BCCSC. On that day, school organized teachers to visit the hall of teaching achievement, to attend the open class, and to listen to the leaders’ speeches and reports.
Mr. Tian Zhenzhou, the vice-principal of BCCSC presided over this meeting. Dr. Francis Pang delivered the opening address firstly. He stressed the importance of students’ self-study and self- development. Madam Xue Mei gave her speech and repeated the topic of this seminar, which came from the years of experience of finding a way to meet students’ requirements, to better serve the development of teachers’ perspective, and to improve the teaching quality of BCCSC. Students Ye Han and Rong Zihao gave their speeches about the BCCSC APP. They played the relevant videos and introduced the web, pictures and videos, which included the grade 11 Drama show, Grade 10 class show activity, posters from all the students’ committees etc. Miss Li Mingchun, the Director of TAO delivered her speech about building BCCSC Teaching standards; Miss Ma Xiaokui, the Director of SAO also gave her speech about creating a platform for students under the guidance of moral education. The paper custom show was also presented among the seminar. Students showed the Monday regular meeting from BCCSC Students’ Round Square Committee, which was about the organization of the visiting of Member institutions from all over the world on May 26th.
The discussions with the topic of self-study and self-development were held during that afternoon. Mr. Wang Benzhong delivered his summative speech. He encouraged all the teachers and leaders to set the international culture and education as the teaching background of BCCSC, to accomplish the scientific and internationalization of Education, to explore the significance of excellent education by building talents and cultivating the curriculum system, to further specify the curriculum of BCCSC, to make sure the direction of school’s development, and to improve the daily work in order to be systematic, standardized, and scientific. He concluded the achievements of the last 17 years, and also talked about the ways to further improve teaching quality and social awareness.
The Open Day Activity was held successfully. It attracted more than 400 parents and students.
