Exchange Activities between International“Round Square”Schools

Poppy Tia James from Wellington College, near London, England, came to our school for a one-month-exchange on February 29th, 2016; she lived and studied together with our students. Her visit provided us with a chance to learn more about Wellington College, one of the top English high schools of the world. This is a communication activity among “Round Square” member schools.

BCCSC joined “Round Square” Organization in 2013 and became the first member school in mainland China. This gives us a chance to work together with more than 200 membership schools from the world’s five continents.

Max from Australia “Trinity Anglican School” came to BCCSC for an exchange on October 2014. HuShuya and Hanxiao, as BCCSC exchange students, went to Tasmania in August 2015; they studied Australian courses and lived in Max’s home on the weekends. They have wonderful memories of diving in the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. All these experiences improved the two students’ English skills and capabilities to live overseas.

It is a good idea for students of the middle and high school to apply for a Gap Student Program before they make a decision about the direction of their next step. Miguel from “Singapore United World College” came to BCCSC for a 4-month-exchange. After that, Miguel went to a member school in Colombia for another 4-month-exchange and he is studying now at New York University. Miguel’s overseas work and study experience helps our students to open a new way of development.

ShenHantao and Lijing of BCCSC will go as exchange students to Hackley School in New York, America in May, 2016.

BCCSC will create more opportunities for our students to study and experience different cultures in foreign countries and cultivate more outstanding talents according to the six ideals of “Round Square.”
