A Series of Activities for Celebrating BCCSC’s 19th Anniversary

April 8th, 2016 was a special day with blossoming flowers and bright sunshine, because it was BCCSC’s 19th Anniversary. Happy and peaceful atmosphere permeated the whole campus.

The Retired Staff Welcome Session was held in the Comprehensive Building in the morning. BCCSC invited more than 40 retired staff to come to our school to celebrate the 19th Anniversary along with more than 1000 teachers and students. Ms. Xue Mei, the principal; Ms. Jing Zhi, the Party Sectary and Mr. Breeze, the Vice-Principal delivered remarks to thank the retired staff for their efforts on the contribution of BCCSC, expressed welcome to them and gave them gifts.

Almost 300 staff and retired staff had a delicious buffet lunch together. Mr. Andy Truong, the Executive Director, expressed welcome to the retired staff; thanked them for establishing a firm foundation of our school; and thanked all the staff for their contributions to BCCSC. Ms. Xue Mei highlighted in her speech “The Staff Who Have Worked at BCCSC for 10 Years” and “The Staff Who Have Worked at BCCSC for 15 Years”, and presented souvenirs and commemorative plaques to them. Several student presented flowers to the retired staff. Mr. Tian Zhenzhou gave a special mention for “The Excellent Staff in the 1st Term 2015—2016”.

In the afternoon, the retired staff and all teachers watched the wonderful performance of students. The program began with “Opening Dance Mix”. Mr. Andy Truong, Ms. Xue Mei, Mr. Tian Zhenzhou and Mr. Prescott, the principal of the Canadian International School presented awards to students who won the international Math competitions and to the winner of the “The Competition of Designing the Logo for the 19th Anniversary”.  The event was a roaring success. Students’ performances were wonderful and exciting. The English Opera “Golden Fish” achieved audiences’ cheering and applauses; Students from the primary school showed us “Dance Mix”, which was received much praise; The event ended with the chorus “Raise Me Up”, which was sang by Grade 12-AP1and Grade 12-4. Applause and cheering permeated the whole event.

The series of activities for celebrating the 19th anniversary was completed successfully. BCCSC will continually spread spirit of gratefulness and ambition for improvement within our community.
