Exchanging Space, Hunting Treasures

Beijing Concord School held the “Exchanging Space, Hunting Treasures” activity on June 22, 2016, which followed the ideals of final-study review and environmental protection based on low-carbon emission.

With the final exam approaching, students got into the review stage, while teachers helped students to sort out and consolidate knowledge. Teachers designed “Le Xue” activity to guide students to review happily and create more initiation. During the activity, students brought spare toys or other things from their homes to school, then to be sold at the event. The teachers asked students to choose one item from their spare books, toys or stationary and take it as the “Treasure”; make a poster for the “Treasure” using what they had learnt in English or Art courses; make a 5CM* 10CM label (including the product name, product material, price, reminder, content, etc. ,) based on what they had learnt in Chinese or Math courses; and prepare less than 10 Yuan, which will help students to review the knowledge about RMB exchange.

These kinds of activities enhanced students’ ability of expression, and practiced what they had learnt from the Chinese, English, Moral and Society, Moral and Life, and Sinology Courses. The students dressed up as the spokesperson of the “Treasures” using what they learnt from their Music, Art, and Physical Education Courses.

Teachers judged the “Excellent Poster Award”, “Excellent Chinese- English Communication Award”, “Excellent Label Award”, “Top Sales Award” and “Excellent Class Award”.

These kinds of comprehensive activities infused the ideals about “Ecological Civilization and Environment Awareness” of “Round Square” to students; cultivate the class honor sense; and strengthen the cohesion of students.

The activity was completed successfully. Thanks to teachers, parents and students involved.
