Mr.Tao Xiping’ s Speech

Today you will graduate and have a new journey. I congratulate to you and thanks to BCCSC.

There are a lot of wonderful memories on campus of BCCSC, which establish a foundation for your future. The confidance and power you learnt from BCCSC will be a treasure for you, I believe that one day you will make a retribution to BCCSC and BCCSC will be proud of you.

I want to tell you a story.

A tramp without his right arm asked my mother for some food. The mother pointed at the bricks at the gate and said: please move these bricks to my back yard. The tramp said: “I only have an arm, are you asking me to move these bricks?” The mother was not angry at him and picked up two bricks to the back yard. Then , she said: I can move the brick by one hand, so i think youalso can do it. It took two hours for the tramp to move all the bricks to the back yard. The mother gave  him  20 yuan , a bread, a bottle of water. The Tramp appreciated very much.  The mother said: don’t thank me, you earn money by yourself. The Tramp said: “I will not forget you.”  Then he left.

Few days later, the second tramp came for food , the mother asked the second tramp to move the bricks from the back yard to the front yard.

Someone asked the mother: Last time you ask the fist tramp to move the bricks from the front yard to the back yard, this time you asked the second tramp to move the bricks from the back yard to the front yard, so I want to know where do you want the bricks stay?” The mother said: it is not importantwhere the bricks stay, but it is important for these tramp to move the bricks by themselves.

Few years later, a very rich man without a right arm came to visit the mother and said: If I did not meet you,I can not succedd. " The mother said :” You do it by yourself. I did nothing for you”.  The rich man said :” You helped me tobe confidant. You let me know that I can do something by myself."

So I think, all the students should remember: if you work hard, you can succeed sonoor or later. Compare with the tramp, you have good families, but do not be a tramp and keep asking for money from your partents.

Best wishes to all of you, and never forget BCCSC. Thank you.
