BCCSC Students Participated in the 7th HMUN China 2017

13 BCCSC students participated in the 7Th HMUN China at the WJ Hotel from March 16-19, 2017.This conference is one of United Nations’ conferences that has the highest academic level and the greatest degree of internationalization for the middle school students.1200 students from all over the world gathered in Beijing. They improved their leadership abilities and broadened their horizons through their debate and discussion of the international hot topics.

This conference had 5 committees: Disarmament and International Security Committee, Special Political and Decolonization Committee，World Health Organization, World Trade Organization, and United Nations Global Compact. During the 4 days’ conference, the students debated and discussed the topics such as “Military Intervention in Transnational Conflict”, “Wartime Social Psychology”，“Beijing Round of WTO Trade Negotiations, 2017.” Students were very motivated and participated actively.

During the 4 days’ conference, BCCSC students communicated and interacted with other students from all over the world. Although most participants’ mother language was not English, they made presentation in fluent English and negotiated how to solve the problems.

During the break of the conference, there were many kinds of colorful activities, including the party on March 18, which the participants relaxed and increased their friendship.

The 13 BCCSC students said that they were astonished by this conference and it showed them the direction of their future. They also realized that they still need to study hard to improve their English. We hope they will get better scores in the next years.
