Dr. Francis Pang’s Remarks

His Excellency ambassador of Canada, Mr. John McCallum, Dear Mr. Tao Xiping; Dear friends who always give the cares and helps to CCSC; Dear Alumni who come from afar; Dear Teachers, Students and Parents

Good Afternoon!

At CCSC, we view success as having our graduates being accepted into the universities they wish, entering careers in competitive fields of work, having confidence while constantly building competency, and becoming global citizens contributing on the world stage.

When I recall the 20 years of history developing at CCSC, we always devote ourselves to internationalizing the Chinese educational system, complementing the western and Chinese cultures, and combining the school operational model as a pioneer of internationalized schools. On top of guaranteeing student learning of the required core curriculum, we have also focused on educating them to learn more about Internationalism, Democracy, the Environment, Adventure, Leadership and Service. These six pillars form the philosophy Round Square, which has been advocated at each CCSC campus. We encourage our students not only to focus on academic achievements, but also recognizing the importance of serving the society and others, all for one, one for all. I think the concept I mentioned above is an essential requirement for enhancing the competency of human resources and augmenting social development through education.

CCSC will continue to build on the experiences of the school development for last 20 years, clarify the key responsibilities to achieve the China Dream, and cultivate the continued development of one belt and silk road, while making good use of the multi-cultural platform provided by ties with Canada. We always adhere to the school motto of CCSC, “Wisdom, Virtue, Perseverance, Aspiration”. In future, we will continue to devote ourselves to low-carbon green energy campuses, initiate internationalized and advanced teaching and school operating models, create various social activities for different age groups of students, enhance the exchange and communication with schools across the world, develop more and more high-quality talents for society, our country and the world. I do believe it’s a magnificent mission for all of us.

As I close my comments today, please accept my sincere thanks for all of your support during the past 20 years that made the possible for us to celebrate this milestone today, I look forward with much enthusiasm as we journey into our future years.

Thank you and please enjoy the performances of BCCSC students and staffs.
