BCS “I am Planting, I am Happy” Activity

BCS organized the primary school students to visit “Beijing Tongzhou XiYinLi Plant Garden” on May 8, 2017

The students departed the school at 8:10 a.m. and arrived at the garden at 9：00 a.m. There are 32 buildings, including more than 1000 kinds of succulent plants.

The students returned to the school with plants. This activity was completed successfully. Thanks to the school leaders and parents’ supports. We believed that we will create more chances for students to participate in social activities.

The primary students were eager to visit the succulent plants. They visited the producing greenhouses. Each greenhouse has its own features. This is the first plants garden in Beijing. It has a variety of precious species. The students were astonished by the plants.

The gardener horticulturists gave the students a presentation about the common knowledge of plants. Some students received small gifts for answering questions during the presentation.

Finally, the students can DIY. They watched the horticultures pot and plant different plants into small pots. They were able to try this themselves.

This was not only a visiting activity, but also a good lesson. This social activity provided students a good chance to study plants. They learnt that they need patience and love to look after plants. The students insisted that recording the growth of the plants.
