Graduation Ceremony 2017, Concord Colleges of Sino-Canada
The graduation ceremony of Concord College of Canada was held in the Great Hall of the People on July 8, 2017. More than 1800 people, including the officials from China, Beijing municipal and other provinces, Canadian Ambassador To China, foreign guests, graduates and their parents, and other people from other sectors of societies. Dr. Pang, Chairman of the Board; Ambassador John McCallum; Mr. John McLaughlin, Deputy Minister of New Brunswick Education Department; Mr. Tao Xiping, Honorary Chairman of FMACU; the representatives of parents and students. The official guests issued the certificates, plagues and scholarship. At the end of the graduation, the school leaders and foreign guests presented the certificates to every student.
Almost 1000 students, who were from Beijing Concord College of Sino-Canada, Shenzhen Concord College of Sino-Canada, Anhui Concord College of Sino-Canada, Guiyang Concord College of Sino-Canada, Changsha Concord College of Sino-Canada, Lanzhou Concord College of Sino-Canada, Harbin Concord College of Sino-Canada, and Hefei Concord College of Sino-Canada, were accepted by universities and 80% of them got the scholarship. The university acceptance is 100%.
Wang Ziqi, from Beijing Concord College of Sino-Canada, got 116 scores in TOEFL and was accepted by 12 famous universities, including University of Washington, University of California. Wen Jinhao, graduated from Beijing Concord of Sino-Canada, was accepted by many universities, such as Canada's McGill University, University of Waterloo. Wang Xinyue, one of Beijing Concord of Sino-Canada, was accepted by the Art and Design Institute of Savannah University.
There were nine subjects for senior high school student. Xiao Kun, a student of Beijing Concord College of Sino-Canada, got respectively five scores (full scores) in seven AP subjects and four scores in other two subjects. He created a new record of AP achievements in Beijing Concord of Sino-Canada. Zeng Zheng, graduated from Beijing Concord College of Sino-Canada, studied 9 AP subjects, got respectively five scores (full scores) in six of the subjects; four scores in other three subjects.
Beijing Concord College of Sino-Canada was established in the Great Hall of the People on March 26, 1997. It is a joint co-operative school in Beijing offering dual Chinese and Canadian High School Diploma and Canadian Post Programs. It is also the first＂Curricula Reform Contact School” appointed by the National Education Ministry, and the first mainland school to join the “Round Square” family of schools . In addition, BCCSC is one of the “Beijing Self-Regulated Curricula Experimental Schools”.
Beijing Concord College of Sino-Canada is jointly operated by Chinese and Canadian education groups. The experimental Middle School attached to Beijing Normal University is the Chinese division while the two Canadian sections are the New Brunswick Education Department and AKD International Incorporation. Dr. Pang, the Chairman of AKD International Incorporation, won the “Beijing Great Wall Friendship Award”. Mr. Wang Ben zhong, the Vice Board Chairman; Principal; Former Principal and Secretary of Party Committee of the Experimental Middle School attached to Beijing Normal University. Director of National Advanced High School Principal Committee.
Beijing Concord College of Sino-Canada carries forward the educational idea of “Students-Center; Combing Chinese and western culture; Teaching students in accordance with their aptitude”; Devoting to creating the educational platforms; Educating the international talents with “ Chinese Hearts,” ＂International Horizons,” “Ecological Civilization,” ＂Innovation,” “Leadership,” and “Service Society.”
Beijing Concord College of Sino-Canada has been established 20 years. With the development theory of “Internationalism”, “Professionalization”, and “Individualism”, BCCSC has created a way of running school:＂Combining the Chinese and western cultures; Sharing the teaching resources and curriculum; Promoting students to grow and study actively and initiatively.” During the past 20 years, BCCSC cultivated 18 classes, 15000 graduates. 98% of the graduates were accepted by universities and 85% of them got the scholarships. BCCSC has been well acknowledged by the society and parents. With the same ideas, AKD International Incorporation established 25 Concord Colleges of Sino-Canada, including Shenzhen Concord College of Sino-Canada, Qingdao Concord College of Sino-Canada, Anhui Concord College of Sino-Canada; Xian Concord College of Sino-Canada; Fuzhou Concord College of Sino-Canada; Liaoning Concord College of Sino-Canada ; Lanzhou Concord College of Sino-Canada.
