The Exchange Student in BCCSC Ended Her Trip to China

Tess, an change student from University of Ballarat, came to BCCSC on Sep. 4, 2017. She was welcomed warmly. Tess and Liang Zhenyi were “One to One” exchange students of Round Square. They exchanged for two month.

As the host, BCCSC arranged a variety of activities and helped her to visit many places in Beijing. Five voluntary students took the responsibility of teaching Tess Chinese.

In daily life, Tess spent half of her time on studying Chinese with the South Korean students. Ms. Sun designed teaching activities, which brought out the charm of Chinese language. BCCSC also designed many kinds of activity classes, including Chinese cooking, pyrography, and pottery.

The student leaders of BCCSC Round Square organized students to make dumplings and invited Tess to join them. It’s the first time for Tess to make dumplings. She was so curious about making dumplings.

On every weekend, Tess went to Liang Yi Zhen’s home. Family Liang took her to visit the Great Wall, the Summer Palace, the Forbidden City. These scenic spots impressed Tess deeply.

Mr. Andy and Mr. James Tian met Tess in the conference room of the comprehensive building. They expressed their expectation on the exchange student, Liang Yizhen. The interactions between Australian and Chinese students enhanced their friendship; boosted the communication between them and transitioned the different cultures.
