Developing Students’ Core Element, Establishing the Culture in Class

----The Fifth BCCSC/BCS Education and Teaching Seminar

In order to improve BCCSC/BCS’s international education, the fifth BCCSC/BCS Education Seminar was held on May, 2nd, 2018.The theme of this seminar was “Developing Students’ Core Element, Establishing the Culture in Class.” The staff from the Student Administrative Office and Teaching Administrative Office, the school leaders, including Dr. Francis, the Chairman of the Board; Mr. Andy Truong, the Executive Director; Ms. Ma, the Vice-principal; and Mr. Xue Mei, the Vice-principal attended the seminar.

First, Mr. James Tian delivered a report about “core element” and “culture in class”. He pointed out that there were three steps to research the teaching and education, namely, establishing the course system, creating the professional ways to educate students, and exploring the teaching methods.

Mr. James Tian pointed out that the core of education was course while the key of course was class. So we need to devote ourselves on establishing culture in class.

Mr. James Tian narrated the importance of core element and culture in class. He put forward three suggestions: personalized, fine and the new normal education. He called on all the educational research group to study the advanced education through exercising the solid basic skills and leadership. Teachers are encouraged to study the real problem in positive thinking, carry out cross-border integration, and carry out the research of core literacy cultivation in the classroom. Mr. James Tian not only pointed out the new direction for teaching in our school, but also put forward a guiding method in the implementation of the goal.
