The Duke of Edinburgh Awards

The Duke of Edinburgh Awards, established in 1956, has 63 years’ history. This award has been acknowledged by more than 130 countries.

The two founders of the Duke of Edinburgh Award were Mr. Kurt Hann and Duke of Edinburgh. There were three kinds of awards, gold award, silver award, and bronze award. BCCSC is one of the schools which have the right to approve the international awards.

Grade 10and 11students had the lecture about the Duke of Edinburgh Award at the Lecture Theatre on March 19th, 2019. Manager Zhang, introduced the contents of the adventure courses and some skills of outdoor adventure. Ms. Ma, vice-principal, introduced the Duke of Edinburgh Awards and encouraged the students to participate in the activities.
