Tomb-sweeping Day Commemoration was held by Grade Twelve Students of BCCSC in The Lugou Bridge and China's Anti-Japanese War Memorial Museum

All the grade twelve students of BCCSC visited the China's Anti-Japanese War Memorial Museum on April 4th, 2019.

The students visited various exhibition halls in groups. They got to the memorial hall, and the first thing they saw was a set of ectype, which are 18 meters long and 5 meters high. It symbolizes “flesh and blood, new Great Wall”. The exhibition was divided into "comprehensive hall", "the Japanese atrocities hall", "people's war room" and "the anti-Japanese martyr’s hall”. The students learned heroic deeds by Jingyu Yang, Yiman Zhao, Xuefeng Peng, Linge Tong, Dengyu Zhao, and lost in deep thought.

In the signature activity of "Commemorate the Dead, Cherish the Memory of Revolutionary Martyrs, Remember the History and Pray for peace", students signed their names formally.

Ceremony of commemorating the heroes was held. All the students and teachers sang the national anthem and they observed a minute of silence collectively afterwards. A speech about patriotic heart was delivered by Mengrun Yan. A poem was read and flowers were presented to the heroes.

In the end, all the students and teachers visited the Lugou Bridge. They learned about the beauty, the history from the stone lions caved on the columns, and the emperor inscription. Meanwhile, they deeply understood the contribution of the heroes, and they were inspired to learn from them.
