Student Representative’s Speech

Distinguished guests, dear students and teachers,

Good afternoon.

I'm Wu Yang from Anhui Concord College of Sino-Canada. It is a great honor for me to speak here today on behalf of all the Concord College of Sino-Canada students in the class of 2019. First of all, please allow me to express our heartfelt thanks and highest respect to the hard-working leaders and teachers.

" Very quietly I take my leave / As quietly as I came here ", Xu Zhimo's beautiful and sad parting lines have touched the hearts of many students! Today, with this kind of parting feeling, we will say goodbye to CCSC, who have cultivated us for many years; we will say goodbye to the teachers, who have given us guidance and selfless care; we will say goodbye to the classmates, who used to spend time together; and we will say goodbye to this unforgettable time, which is taken as a label of youth.

In the past few years, we have witnessed the vigorous development of our school as well as the process of her gradual growth. We have witnessed her expansion from Beijing to other parts of the world and her ups and downs on the road of pursuing "modernization, globalization and futurism" As a CCSC student, I have developed my international vision through participating in community services, project researches, exchange programs and adventure activities, and have promoted my comprehensive and individual development in terms of study, physique, cultural understanding and spiritual growth. l would like to say these years in CCSC are the precious experiences and wealth of life.

We are grateful for the beautiful memories that CCSC has left us, and we will never forget the support from our teachers. We also keep the faith that our school has embedded in us—to dream and work hard for it.

President Xi Jinping once said, ‘Today, the young people of China in the new era are in the best period of the development of the Chinese nation. They are facing not only the rare life opportunity of fostering achievements but also the glorious mission of The Times. l sincerely hope that the young Chinese people will actively embrace the new era and forge ahead, so that their youth will shine a more brilliant light in their dedication to the motherland, the people, the nation and mankind. ’ Here, I would like to take this opportunity to share these beliefs with you.

Let’s keep in mind the school motto of CCSC "study extensively and strive for the dreams", and be a CCSC graduate with great visions, a CCSC graduate without any fear of difficulties, and a CCSC graduate down to earth but pioneering!

In the end, I wish all of us a brave and lucky journey in the future. I wish our leaders and teachers all the best in the future work; I hope our school will ride the wind and plough the waves in the path of the future development and will create greater glories!

Thank you very much!
