Carrier Rocket and Patriotic Feelings Fly in Unison

On September 19, 2019, there were bursts of applause in the classroom of Huaren School in Tongzhou, Beijing. This is a lecture on space knowledge given by scientist Liang Xiaohong to our junior high school students.

Mr. Liang Xiaohong, former secretary of the party committee and vice president of the Chinese Academy of launch vehicle Technology, and a researcher in the field of launch vehicles, told the junior middle school students about the development history of China's carrier rockets. Since the first successful launch of a test liquid fuel sounding rocket designed and manufactured by China on February 19, 1960, China's carrier rocket technology has been studied for nearly 60 years. At the same time, he told the students about the close relationship between the development of a country's space technology and its international status. At present, only three countries in the world have a record of successful launch of carrier rockets, with the exception of the United States and the former Soviet Union. China, as a developing country, is the only technology leader. This will bring a strong scientific and technological research foundation for China's scientific and technological level and military strength.

The lecture starts at 16:20 and ends at 17:30. At the beginning of our school, the enthusiasm of the students in the middle of our school was high, and during the period of continuous applause, the students were very concerned about the current research level of carrier rockets in our country, and they were also able to actively link the fate of the space industry of the motherland to themselves, and hoped that through their personal efforts in school, they could contribute to the space industry of the motherland. Inspired by Dean Liang, the students have gained a better understanding of the chaos that has taken place in Hong Kong this year and are determined to have sex with the motherland, young people with ideals and beliefs. The invitation to the lecture was based on the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the motherland, patriotism education and junior high school students' interest in scientific research stimulated, "scientists into the classroom" the original intention, received a very good response from teachers and students.
