BCCSC/BSC teachers "One on one pair study” guidance meeting was held as scheduled.

Autumn is gone, the Chinese winter solstice will come,. In order to accelerate the continuous growth of new teachers, improve the overall quality of new teachers, and give full play to the backbone role of our school's chief teachers and subject teaching and researching team leader, on the afternoon of November 7, 2019, our school's academic year 2019-2020 teachers "one on one" guidance meeting was held in the conference room of the comprehensive building as scheduled.

Under the direct guidance and attention of executive principle Andy , this activity is organized and implemented by the Young Teachers' Training and Learning Center and Teacher’s Academic Committee. The attendees include: the chief teachers, subject teaching and researching team leaders (Chinese, Math and English) and the new teachers ; the total committee are 31 including both teachers as well as the head of teaching department, the staffs of human resources department and staff of Academic Committee and the school leaders.

The meeting was held by Vice President Mr.Ma Ge. It is emphasized to carry out teachers "One on one pair study” activities and make it normalized and institutionalized. The chief teacher and the subject teaching and research team leaders also need to constantly improve their own cultural quality and professional level in the process of helping, so that new teachers can enter their teaching roles as soon as possible; during the process of helping all teachers can gain mutual developments, too.

Mr. Fu Hai ping, a member of academic committee, first made a speech: in order to give full play to the radiation and driving role of our school's chief teachers and subject teaching and research team leaders, the teaching department and academic committee formulated the agreements with our school's teachers. Its core point is to help young teachers improve their professional quality as soon as possible, so that young teachers can achieve a new leap in the level of education and teachers' morality, professional knowledge, professional skills and other aspects, and strive to achieve the training goal of "one year to get used to the new teaching environment, three years getting very familiar with teaching environment, nine years becoming an excellent teacher".The guidance instructors and the new teachers who were guided by experienced teachers can listen to each other’s classes all day long. And after listen to the class teachers can also do the class evaluation for each other. Moreover, Young teachers should design at least two excellent teaching plans every semester. They also need to turn in at least one test paper with a good standard. Through all these ways, experienced teachers and new teachers can cooperate with each other and improve both teaching and learning skills.

The chief teacher, on behalf of Huang Yuan said: take a good class should be the first priority of a teacher’s work. How to make our class vivid, interesting and be attractive to students is a knowledge. Making all student love your class can increase a sense of happiness as a teacher. Learning from a chief teacher is a way to help new teachers gain experience quickly. The platform that the school has built for us is very useful, The new teachers defines the chief teachers as their teachers or good friends who can bringing all kinds of problems happened in the classrooms into the group discussions and exchange of good lesson preparation ideas, so every teachers in the group can make progress. Moreover, during the study with each other, all teachers can also gain some useful teaching experiences from 3 ways: by coming into an observing class- new teachers can come into any experienced teachers’ classroom observe how they teach or evaluate student in the class; class related power point sharing- new teachers can learn how an experienced teacher make their own PPT and how they stress the main task of a class; teaching plans sharing-new teachers can refer experienced teachers’ teaching plan to make the preparations and adjustments for their own class. By doing a series of learning from experienced teachers and make the guidance more practical.

Teacher Guo Xiaodan, speaking on behalf of the head of teaching and research group said: teachers "One on one pair study” activities embodies selfless sharing, mutual assistance and common improvement for all teachers which is a fine tradition of BCCSC. New teachers need to be good at learning from their peers (from experienced teachers); learning from themselves (from their own experience of failure or frustration); learning from students (seeking the direction of education and teaching adjustment and development opportunities in students). "One on one pair study” activities can be interpreted as mutual help, make common progress and common improvement among teachers, so as to realize our educational dreams and contribute to the educational corse of BCCSC.

New teacher representative Zhang Shuang gave her speech during the meeting. She said: new teachers will get experience in educate and manage students. Experienced teachers can lead new teachers to get familiar with school rules and regulations and operation mode. Under the guidance of the experienced teacher, the new teacher can accurately grasp the teaching process, constantly enrich the teaching content and strengthen the ability of lesson preparation. With rich teaching experience, experienced teachers can guide new teachers to grasp teaching progress and finish teaching tasks on time. She also mentioned that managing students is not to make students afraid of you but let students respect you and like you. Getting to know the students also allows the students to get to know the teachers. experienced teachers can share students' personality traits with new teachers to help new teachers "teach students according to their aptitude". Especially for some those teachers just take over the new class , understanding the situation of students in that class is particularly important. The activity of teachers "one on one" is efficient and practical, it providing valuable opportunities for new teachers to improve themselves in teaching and educate students.

The executive president Tian Zhen Zhou finally made a conclusion : the chief teachers and the leaders of the teaching and research group formed a virtuous circle and well development in the process of helping new teachers; teachers' professional development should not only be reflected in classroom teaching, but also related to classroom management (such as the formation of learning habits in the lower grades students of primary schools). In the process of teachers "one on one" pair study activity, we should be selfless to share teaching materials (such as PPT, teaching plans and homework designing plans, and educational teaching ideas etc.) The executive principle Tian Zhen Zhou also said that the participating teachers really need to put their emotion into the educate and teach our children, and the development of our school is good for evrybody.

At the end of the meeting, the signing ceremony of teachers "One on one pair study” activities agreement was held. All the participants took a group photo and have the pleasant smile on their faces.
