About The TOEFL® Young Students Series
The TOEFL® Young Students Series is tailored to school-age students. It is an extension of the middle and low age students. It focuses on the needs of young English learners and accurately assesses the English language ability of students.
TOEFL® Youth Test Types include:
TOEFL PRIMARY® Exam and TOEFL Junior® exams.
TOEFL PRIMARY® is for 5 to 12 year old students:
It is mainly used to measure students 'communication skills and development in classrooms, and provide feedback on their capacity, understand students' learning progress, and clarify the benefits and deficiencies of students.
TOEFL JUNIR® exams is for 11-17 year old students:
It is mainly used to measure students' English language level in campus academic life and daily social life, reflecting students in English application capabilities in English-media teaching environments, guiding students to play all potential.
Report advantage
TOEFL® Youth Test Score and Report describes the English capabilities of candidates corresponding to CEFR score and Lexile Framework, Reading grading, providing support for future English learning.
*CEFR
CEFR ( Common European Framework of Reference for Languages , the European Language Common Reference Framework) is a suggested standard system adopted by the European Commission in November 2001 to describe the standard system of foreign language learner language ability. Many international general English language tests are associated with this standard, as a reference criterion defined by the examination score level.
According to different English language skills, CEFR is roughly divided into three levels of primary users (A), independent users (B), and further segments six levels, A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2, each level is given to the corresponding language capability.
Participate in the primary school TOEFL corresponding to the CEFR level in A1-B1; Middle School TOEFL corresponds to the CEFR rating in the A2-B2; TOEFL test corresponds to the CEFR level in B1-C1
Lexile Framework
The Lexile Framework is a standard for a measure of students' reading levels and identity books that have been studied by the US Science Foundation to improve the reading of American students. The Blueest Index is the lowest 200L, up to 1700L. The TOEFL Youth Test Reading section will correspond to the Lexile Framework to help students measures their own reading.

For candidates who participate in the TOEFL Junior® exam, they will be based on the scores obtained from the students, and the grades, silver, copper, blue, and green different colors. Certificate colors correspond to the level.

The TOEFL JUNIR® reading and listening test score report includes the following information: the total score of the test and each of the scores, describe the English capabilities of the typical candidates scored in a specific proportional score, corresponding to the CEFR score level and the Bluis® reading.

Test preparation
Photo preparation and test entrance ticket download
1.After the registration, the candidates need to prepare a photo of the electronic version of picture.The school teacher will upload the picture to registration system. The photo will be used for the examination entrance ticket, as a basis for checking the identity of the test on the same day.
Personal 2 inch picture:
· Photo has to be blue background.
· Photo is photographed in the near future.
· Photo size does not exceed 1M.
· Photo format is JPG or PNG.
2. Within one week before the test, the sub-test shall be printed by the approved WeChat app, or the school print everything before the test.
Test list
1. Carry your identity file, entrance ticket:
On the day of the exam, please bring the ID (ID / passport) of the identity information registered at the time of registration, and the entrance ticket for the exam for the inspection of the examiner.
2. Carry stationery:
On the day of the exam, please bring one 2B pencil, eraser, neutral pen and other test stationery
3. Items that are forbidden to take:
Don't bring your items to the examination room on the day of the exam.

Tips for the exam
1. Please arrive at the examination room 30 minutes in advance, and cooperate with the supervisor to prepare before the test.
2. After entering the court, you can sit in your own exam seat. Do not take someone's seat.
3. Keep the examination room discipline during the exam, according to the process of test paper
4. Standardize the cancellation card.Please do not take any test paper or answer card before you leave the room.
Examination Procedure (Required)
TOEFL PRIMARY ® test process:
1. Candidates must arrive at 30 minutes in advance (including epidemic prevention processes), officially conduct candidates to stop admission
2. After admission, the first 30 minutes is for filling out the answer sheet.
3. Reading test takes a total of 30 minutes.
4. Listening test takes a total of 35 minutes - 30 minutes (test time) + 5 minutes.
TOEFL JUNIR® Exam Process:
1. Candidates must arrive at 30 minutes in advance (including epidemic prevention processes), officially conduct candidates to stop admission
2. After entering the venue, the previous 25 minutes is for filling out the answer sheet.
3. Listening test takes 40 minutes.
4. Language and meanings takes 25 minutes.
5. Reading exam takes 50 minutes.
Note: At each time period, candidates can only answer each segment, and if the candidate has completed a part in advance, the student can not enter the next block in advance. Failure to comply with the examination rules will be considered cheating, and the results will be canceled.
