The Strength of Our Youth Models — The 20th BCCSC Principal’s Banquet
The 20th BCCSC principal’s award banquet was held on May 13, 2021 at the staff cafeteria. Dr. Francis Pang, Chairman of the board; Mr. Andy Truong, Executive Director; Mr. James Tian, the Executive Principal; Ms. Laurel Schwartz, the Canadian Vice Principal; Ms. Jing Zhi, the Vice Principal and Party Secretary; Mr. Ma Ge, the Vice Principal; Ms.Zhang Weihong, the Vice Principal; Ms.Zhang Weidong, the Director of Elementary school; Ms. Ailina, the Vice Director of Middle School; Mr. Cao Xiaopeng, the Vice Director of High school; and more than 200 parents and students attended the banquet.
The Principal’s award banquet of our school was established in 2002 to encourage students who have performed outstandingly in all aspects of study and life in the past year. The 22 awards include the Study Progress Award, the International Academic Award, the Elementary Activity Award, the King Constantine Award, Academic Achievement Award, Outstanding Student Award, Chairman's Nomination Award etc. The theme of this year’s awards banquet was "The Strength of Our Youth Models", hosted by Wu Jianuo, Yu Ying, Zhang Boxiang, and Li Zaimin.
First of all, Ms. Laurel Schwartz, the Canadian vice principal, delivered an opening speech, expressing warm congratulations to the students for their achievements, and the students' continuous self-improvement in practicing the six pillars of Round Square.
The awards session began and 143 students were awarded.
The song "City of stars" by Jin Hong and Liu Ziyue from the middle junior school and the small chorus "Wei Wei" by the students from the primary school were beautiful and fascinating, which brought happiness to the event .
Finally, the chairman Dr. Francis Pang delivered his speech. He affirmed the efforts of the award-winning students. The best students lead to a best school. He encouraged the students to continue to learn from each other, and wished a better future for the students.
The banquet ended with group pictures of parents, students and teachers.
