BCCSC/BCS Donation to the West Part of China Activity

The donation to the west part of China activity was successfully completed on November 23. The event was hosted by the Beijing Tongzhou District Committee of the Communist Youth League and undertaken by the BCCSC/BCS the Communist Youth League. The purpose of the activity is to call on students to donate their old clothes to teenagers in remote mountainous areas such as Wulanchabu city in Inner Mongolia and Yushu in Qinghai, so as to help them spend a warm winter.

Three donation activities were held in the Youth League Committee Office of maple leaf building on November 19, 22 and 23. The school Youth League Committee encourages students to donate clothes, books and toys by distributing publicity materials. After receiving the donated clothes, books and toys, the volunteers of the Youth League Committee register the donor's name, class and the number of donated clothes.

The elementary school also organized a theme class meeting to let the students introduce the story of each item, which not only cultivated the students' excellent morality of helping each other, but also brought the activity more fun.

The donation campaign raised more than 800 pieces of clothes, more than 1500 books and toys.

After the activity, the teacher in charge of the Youth League Committee will contact Beijing Leyu foundation to recycle and sort out the clothes and send them to the teenagers in western areas.
