Full Staff Meeting for the End of BCCSC/BCS 2022-2023 School Year Term 1

Full staff meeting for the End of BCCSC/BCS 2022-2023 school year term 1 was held at 11am on January 6, 2023. The meeting was hosted by Ms.Jing Zhi, Secretary of the Party Branch. The school leaders and all the teaching staff attended the meeting. Mr.Andy Truong, the Executive Director, the Principal Mr.Tian Zhenzhou, and the School Secretary Ms. Jingzhi made speeches respectively, summarizing the work of this semester, looking forward to the key work of the next semester, arranging the work arrangement for the winter vacation, conveying the spirit of the district education committee’s notice, and New Year greetings to all faculty and staff. This meeting marks a successful conclusion to the first semester of the 2022-2023 school year.

The first item on the agenda of the meeting was Mr. Andy Truong, the Executive Director delivering a speech on the work summary of this semester and the work outlook for the next semester. First of all, Mr. Andy fully affirmed the dedication and hard work of all teaching staff on behalf of the board of directors. Due to the severe epidemic situation this semester and the adjustment of online and offline teaching, all teachers were faced with heavy teaching workload, but everyone worked hard. The focus of the second semester is to enhance the school’s diversified double-first-class brand, increase the school’s popularity and influence, further organize cross-school exchanges and international summer camps for students. Secondly, in addition to improving the overall academic level, knowledge and awareness of students through OSSD international courses, another focus of the second semester is to plan to apply to become a global school officially certified by Cognia. Cognia is the world's largest non-profit authoritative certification body for international schools. Passing the Cognia certification means that the school has reached the ranks of the world's outstanding schools and the cutting-edge standards of global education. In addition, BCCSC and BCS will celebrate their 26th anniversary on March 26. The school will carry out a series of themed activities. It is hoped that teachers and students in the school will participate enthusiastically, create a strong campus atmosphere, and further strengthen the relationship between teachers and students.

Principal Mr.Tian Zhenzhou summarized the work of school education and teaching, demonstrating the results of teaching, and comprehensive deployment and requirements for related work in the next semester. First of all, he expressed his heartfelt thanks to all teachers for his hard work. All teachers have been selflessly paying for the new crown epidemic for three years, sincere unity, not afraid of difficulties, successfully completed the education and teaching work of this semester, and achieved excellent results. Secondly, he reviewed the main work and achievements of education and teaching in the first semester of the academic year, including seriously studying and implementing the policies of the 20th National Congress of the Party. At last, he quoted the saying of President Xi Jinping in the New Year's New Year's congratulatory "unity is victory, persistence is victory".
