“English Talent Show”
To enhance students' enthusiasm for learning English, let them experience the charm of the English language, and provide them with a stage to show and improve themselves, on March 10th, 2023, the primary English group of Beijing Tongzhou Huaren School organized an English practice week activity, and the second scene of the activity was held in the groups of grade four to six. With the guidance of the teacher, the students held an "English Talent Show" activity, which took only three weeks from soliciting, writing, reciting to performing. The children gained experience and growth through this process!
The performances were rich in content and diverse in form, including English song chorus, English fun dubbing, and English stage plays. The standard and fluent pronunciation, creative designs, and relaxed and confident smiles of the students made everyone feel the charm of English performances, and ignited the passion of the students for learning English.

Music is the universal language of the world, and wonderful music can always touch our hearts. Students of class one, three and four in grade four sang the song "We Are the World" in chorus. This song ignited the hope in people's hearts, no matter which country, race, friend or stranger they are, when they are trapped in disasters and cannot extricate themselves, we must do our best to help them and light up the world with love.
Students of class five and six in grade four sang the song "Something Just Like This" in chorus. This song expressed the yearning for peace, freedom, and happiness. The children were immersed in the rhythm of the music, and with the accompaniment, the atmosphere was gradually pushed to the climax.
Next up is the "English Fun Dubbing" carefully prepared by the grade five students. Dubbing can effectively improve students' English oral expression ability and enhance their fluency in speaking English. English dubbing not only has knowledge and cultural significance, but also has many characteristics such as interesting, mobile, and entertaining, which can improve students' English thinking, expression, and innovation. Finally, students in grade six brought us the English stage plays "The Iliad" and "The Odyssey". The children's proficiency in the lines and their control of emotions were amazing. Performing is a safe and beneficial way for students to participate in other people's stories and see the world through other people's eyes. It also allows children to release their physical energy and express themselves through voice and body language. Bold and exaggerated actions require courage, and drama practice can help them improve their confidence.
The residual heat of the English talent show is still passing through the hearts of the children. Thank the teachers for their patient guidance, the contestants for their wonderful performance, and the parents for their accompany and support. The beauty of language lies in expression, and English learning emphasizes accumulation.
