Australia Round Square Virtual Conferences: One ocean. One climate. One future - together
The Round Square Virtual Conference is coordinated by Round Square schools to help students from all countries better develop their cross -cultural understanding and improve themselves such as language ability, problem solving ability, communication ability, teamwork ability, etc.
On Wednesday June 7th, three BCCSC Round Square student representatives attended a Zoom conference that was hosted by Redlands School in Australia. The theme was: "One ocean. One climate. One future - together." 80 participants from 16 schools in 5 countries (Australia, India, Kenya, China and South Africa) attended this conference. The students viewed the documentary Rubber Jellyfish and came to the session prepared to share the environmental initiatives everyone is undertaking and the positive impact they are making.The students had the opportunity to hear personal experiences from a variety of speakers about environment protection. They also had a chance to break off into smaller groups and discuss their own experiences with students from all over the world. The conference was held successfully for in-depth discussions brainstorming on various environmental and development issues.
